China-CEEC Business Symposium in Suzhou

Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Diplomatic Corps of Central and Eastern European Countries and relevant officials of Secretariat for China-CEEC Cooperation and the Center attended China-CEEC Business Symposium in Suzhou.

 

Local government officials extended warm welcome to all the guests present and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the attention and support for the socioeconomic development of Wujiang. With its export-oriented economic strategy, Wujiang has been continuing its efforts to enhance trade and economic cooperation with CEE countries. It has achieved a trade volume of over $600,000,000 in 2020 with a 30% increase from last year. Notably, cooperation in the sectors of communication, trade and economy, agriculture and technology and health as well as culture has seen great expansion.

 

At the symposium, ambassadors and commercial counselors of Albania, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Latvia, Serbia embassies to China, among others, gave their respective presentations, focusing on promoting superior resources, economic development and demands in addition to investment policy of the country they represent.

 

Entrepreneur representatives present appluaded that the meeting has helped them in their understanding of CEE countries and showed great interest in closely working with them in the future.

 

This business symposium is an important step in connecting CEE countries with regional business in China and injects strong momentum in economic cooperation.

 

The visit by the diplomatic mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has further strengthened the communication between Wujiang and Central and Eastern European countries, enhanced Wujiang's city influence and outward orientation, and effectively promoted friendly exchanges with Central and Eastern European countries, which will surely inject strength into the economic development of all countries in the future.
